Our member Waves4Power has been testing their WaveEl buoy in Runde, Norway, where they successfully have delivered electricity to the Norwegian energy grid since June this year. However, due to damages on the anchoring line, the wave developer has decided to pause its current testing prematurely and return to Fiskåholmen where analyses and repairs will be made.

“We are now making a thorough analysis of the anchoring system and an assessment of what has happened and how the damage has occurred. Once this work is completed we will distribute more information to all stakeholders […] The buoy in itself is intact. We are also pleased to note that we have collected all the important data needed for our further work.” Waves4Power said in a statement.
